This 8-Year-Old Drag Queen Gets Nothing But Love From Her Family

"Instead of Saturday morning soccer practice, we have vogue classes."

An 8-year-old drag queen stole the hearts of everyone at the Werq The World drag show in Montreal when host Bianca Del Rio brought her up on stage.

Lactatia stole focus from the Season 6 winner by revealing her favorite queen was actually Ginger Minj.

"I love how she coordinates her outfits and I love how she does her make-up. She’s my favorite because she’s funny," Lactatia told Best Kept Montreal. "She inspires me by how she performs and how she does everything. She just inspires me. She is the comedy queen and I just love how she does drag.”

Lactatia (real name: Nemis Quinn Mélançon Golden) told Gay Times she's been doing drag since she was 2, when she first put on her sister's princess dresses.

But she's been taking it more seriously since she turned 7, even making her own clothes.

"Instead of Saturday morning soccer practice, we have vogue classes. When we go clothes shopping it’s equal parts black skinny jeans and skulls as it is sequins and tulle," explain Lactatia's parents, Jessica Mélançon and Coriander Golden. "He’s pretty dedicated to his skateboard, just as much as contouring and tuck tape!"

Not surprisingly, RuPaul is Lactatia's idol—"Jealous of My Boogie" is her favorite song to lip sync to. "I like when the beat drops and I just like how RuPaul sings. It’s a fun song to vogue to."

Lacticia is eagerly watching Season 9, and hopes Shea Coulee takes home the crown. Who knows, this baby queen might be walking the runway on RuPaul's Drag Race Season 25.
