90 Gay Men Serenade Glenn Close With "Sunset Boulevard" Song, Stop Traffic

The chorus was paying homage to the actress' role in the Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber musical.

Glenn Close is currently starring in a London production of Sunset Boulevard as silent film star Norma Desmond, but a group of 90 gay men decided to turn the tables and perform one of the musical's numbers for the star herself.

As Close left the Coliseum over the weekend, she was greeted by the London Gay Men's Chorus, dressed in turbans as an homage to the actress' character in the show.

The men surprised her by singing one of the main songs from the production, "The Perfect Year," as well as presenting her with one of their tote bags.

Close seemed to love the surprise, but she wasn't the only one — the performance drew such a big crowd that traffic was actually stopped, with police on hand to make sure everything went smoothly.

One of the viewers took a video of the performance, which you can watch below.
