We’re always so concerned with “getting things” and “making money.” Last night at the Casting Crowns concert, lead singer Mark Hall said something that really hit home for me: “We are not blessed so we can get, we are blessed so we can give.” When I take my focus off of myself & the things of this cynical world and really pour myself into Jesus, that’s when I am fulfilled!
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.”
1 Peter 4:10
Charity is just one way I enjoy serving others. I have participated in mission trips to New Orleans twice, Oklahoma City, and Colorado Springs with FBC Belton. It’s amazing how the Lord will bless you when you fully commit your life to him. If the Lord calls you to give, please consider my favorite charity, “Hope for the Hungry.” This organization teaches the people of Haiti how to help themselves and you can even go on mission trips with them to Haiti!
San Antonio was a great trip! It’s great to be involved with a charity that is in it for all the right reasons, and “Brighter Days” is just that!
I was so proud of Phillip for working it out at the ranch! He really tried and I know the horses really appreciated it.
James scene at the film audition was the funniest thing I have ever seen in my entire life. I am happy that he is happy, that’s all I’ve wanted for him.
