A Mother's Unconditional Love For Her Trans Son Provides The Greatest Hallmark Moment Ever
Hallmark is celebrating great mothers ahead of Mother's Day on Sunday May 10, and one of the first ads to launch its new #PutYourHeartToPaper campaign features Alex, a trans man with an amazing mother.
Not aware that his mother is watching from the next room, Alex is asked, "What's your mom like?"
His cheerful response quickly becomes emotional. "I was afraid to tell her [I am transgender] because I thought love would have conditions," he says, "and the unconditional love that she's shown has made me a better person."
"I am who I am because of who she is and who she's been to me," he adds.
