Endurance races are nothing new: People have been doing them all over, whether to challenge themselves, for kicks and a photo op (selfies!) or just to try something new.
Now there’s finally one specifically for the gay community: Out-Fit Challenge is billing itself as the first LGBT mud run, with a debut obstacle course in Miami earlier this spring. It’s a 5K cross-country gauntlet throwing more than a dozen military-grade obstacles—mud, water, ice and fire—at competitors. Northerners will get a chance to get dirty on June 29th when the challenge comes Tuxedo Ridge, New York, followed by Chicago on August 3.
