FX has unleashed three more creepy teaser trailers for American Horror Story: Freak Show that confirm Ryan Murphy's promise that the fourth installment of the anthology series will be "terrifyingly dark."

No more "knotty pine" jokes, we guess.

Meanwhile, series star Emma Roberts revealed that, even as a actress, the show freaks her out. "American Horror Story, in general, scares me to death," Roberts told E! News. "I was a fan the first two seasons before I came on."

Roberts, who came on board for Season Three, Coven, said she would re-watch episodes and not remember scenes because she was hiding during them. And this season won't be any different."I have to say, Freak Show is really scarier...I read the script and I was having nightmares."

American Horror Story: Freak Show premieres October 8 at 10pm on FX.
