Aaron Carter Withdraws Support For Donald Trump Over LGBT Issues

"It's NOT going to happen I support the gay community too much."

It's been less than a week since Aaron Carter, brother of former Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter, tweeted his support for Donald Trump, and he's already getting death threats.

The 28-year-old pop star tweeted support for the controversial Republican front-runner on Friday, asking his fans, "Does America want to have a president who FOLLOWS or someone who leads?"

"I've had fans send me death threats, tell me people were going to shoot me, stab me with needles at my show," Carter told WhereAreTheyNow.buzz this week.

"When I decided to tweet I'm going to vote for Donald Trump, I did not consider or think of anyone's reaction because it's my opinion, not yours," he said, adding a threat to put any fan who "gets in front of [his] face" back "in [their] place."

Carter spent the weekend tweeting angry people who took him to task over his endorsement. "You have NO RIGHT to bully me and do this over my political views," he told one.

But it appears as though Carter's had a change of heart since making his endorsement, telling fans he's not going to support Donald Trump now due to seemingly anti-gay statements he's made.

Though Trump doesn't explicitly have an anti-gay platform, he's suggested he'd consider appointing Supreme Court justices who would oppose marriage equality legislation.

After touting his support for the LGBT community in a series of tweets, Carter told fans he will absolutely not vote for Donald Trump if Trump opposes measures for LGBT equality.

"If Donald Trump doesn't support the LGBT community I'm not voting for him," Carter wrote, "so get off my dick about it and shut the fuck up."

So, uh, that's good?
