Aaron Schock, the super hot Republican representative from Illinois we all wish was gay, seems to be on the fence when it comes to the topic of gay marriage. Buzzfeed spoke with the rep. down in Tampa for the Republican National Convention, and while at first he said he supported his party’s stance on gay marriage and the Federal Marriage Amendment, he later added he “ha[s]n’t really thought too much about it” and would “have to read it.” Looks like someone may be changing their mind.
It seems Schock firmly believes the decision as to whether or not to allow same-sex couples to wed should be a state decision, not a federal one. This thinking contradicts with what is laid out in the Federal Marriage Amendment however, something Schock says he also supports. Confusing.
So long story short, it seems the super good looking Schock is either not well versed on the topic of same-sex marriage or is hedging. We’re going to say hedging.
Seems like someone has presidential ambitions.
