Young Gay Love Blossoms On "The Fosters" With The Youngest Same-Sex Kiss In TV History

Monday's episode of The Fosters featured what would seem to be a television first: a gay kiss between two boys not even old enough to drive.

Jude Foster and his friend Connor, both 13, started to grow closer when Connor wore nail polish to school to support Jude, who'd been bullied for doing the same thing. The boys then went on a camping trip—where something happened—and eventually they found themselves holding hands at a movie.

Last night, things came to a head when Jude finally confronted Connor about their night under the stars: "It's not nice to lead people on," he warns his friend. "You kissed me! Remember? In the tent. And then at the movie theater, you held my hand. And now all day you've been... I just, I don't get this. I don't get you!"

Finally, Connor plants a tentative kiss on Jude. (And 10,000 "Jonnor" shippers sighed in unison.)

It's a tender moment, and one fraught with all sorts of adolescent anxiety and stress. Executive producer Peter Paige–who played Emmett on Queer as Folk—tweeted about the trailblazing moment.
