If you’re in the mood for some summer popcorn movie fun this weekend, you could do worse than the cinematic adaptation of “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.”
Based on hipster pulp author Seth Grahame-Smith’s book (the same guy behind fellow inventive mash-up Pride and Prejudice and Zombies) the story follows Abraham Lincoln as he, well, hunts vampires. The title’s pretty straight forward.
Above, I talked with stars Benjamin Walker and Anthony Mackie about what makes the vampires in this story different from their contemporary peers and what politician would be the best vampire hunter today. Below, producer Tim Burton talks about why he was drawn to the project in the first place.
