Jennifer Saunders sat down to chat about Absolutely Fabulous recently and explain just why they decided to film new episodes of the series and just how old she thinks Patsy is.
Fans have Joanna Lumley to thank for the new episodes Jennifer explains, saying that once the actress mentioned they may do more while performing La Bete in NY it got the ball rolling. “[Joanna] said, “Darling, I told them in New York that you’re going to do a few more.” I said, “Oh, well, got to tell the BBC,” claims Jennifer.
And, as for the one question everyone has always wondered, Jennifer reveals how old Patsy truly is. “Patsy must be seventysomething. She’s a lot older than Eddy; she was much bigger than any other child in the class since she went to school late,” Jennifer says.
Everyone will of course be able to see Patsy and Eddy very, very soon when Abs0lutely Fabulous premieres January 8 on Logo.
