We've been teased, tempted and led on before, but Jennifer Saunders says she's determined to make the long-awaited Absolutely Fabulous movie happen in 2015.

Saunders tells the Daily Mirror she' has finally finished the script, some 22 years after creating the show.

“I’ve finished the first draft. I’m feeling euphoric. My proper New Year’s resolution is to do the film, otherwise it’ll be a pointless year of procrastination.”

It's titled Edina and Patsy, after the show's iconic main characters main characters, but Edina’s daughter Saffy (Julia Sawalha) and mother (June Whitfield) are featured, as are other beloved supporting characters.

Saunders joked she'd like to see Angelina Jolie replace Joanna Lumley as boozy magazine editor Patsy and an orangutan playing her own part. “That would be funny, Angelina Jolie and an orangutan.”

The last morsel of AbFab was in 2012, when Saunders wrote three episodes to celebrate the show's 20th anniversary.
