Man Replaces Lube Dispenser With Hydrochloric Acid In Gay Sex Club

The attack happened Saturday at Aarows club in Sydney.

An unnamed man has been arrested in Sydney, Australia, after replacing the lube dispenser at a sex club with hydrochloric acid.

Police say items in the room were fitted with sensors because similar incidents had happened before. Hydrochloric acid is clear and highly corrosive chemical that can cause serious burns and irreversible damage to skin, eyes, lungs and other organs.

The perpetrator, 62, made the switch in a room at the Aarows, a three-floor gym-spa-lounge on Bridge Street in the suburb of Rydalmere.

Club security detained the man until police from Rosehill Local Area Command arrived. He has been charged with administering poison, entering a building with intent to commit an offense, malicious damage and driving while suspended.

Thankfully no serious injuries were reported.

In 2013, a Muslim extremist opened fire in the club's parking lot, hitting a victim in the torso, groin, ankle, liver and lungs.
