"A star is born!" said Lionel Richie of Vox.

Drag queen Ada Vox is a contestant on American Idol, and this week she wowed the audience with a live duet of “Defying Gravity” from Wicked, with none other than Lea Michele.

Sunday’s performance also brought brought judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan to their feet.

“Can you handle this? This talent is out of control,” Michele told host Ryan Seacrest of Vox. “It’s just been so great, this voice is out of control, and getting to sing with someone of [this] vocal caliber was a real honor. It was so fun to get to sing together.”

“A star is born!” declared Richie.
Vox also performed solo, belting out a great rendition of Nina Simone’s “Feeling Good.”

She originally competed in Season 12 of American Idol, performing as her male alter ego, Adam Sanders. Returning required overcoming cyber-bullies who bashed her during that season. This time, she says she’s back to make her dream come true whether the haters like it or not.
