Adam Lambert Releases New Synthpop Single, "Welcome To The Show," Returns To "American Idol"

One of Idol's biggest successes comes home for the show's final season.

As promised, Adam Lambert released new single, “Welcome to the Show,” today.

The out singer teased the song on Monday with a snippet but the full version has a strong synthpop feel, and revisits the theme of performance, fame and relationships that Adam has addressed in songs like "For Your Entertainment."

Featuring Swedish-Persian singer Laleh, "Welcome to the Show" isn't attached to any announced album, a rarity for Lambert. His last album, The Original High, was released in June 2015.

Lambert will debut the song live on American Idol tonight, making his return to the show for its final season.
