It seems that Adam Lambert’s upcoming stint on Glee could not have come at a better time as the singer is leaving his label, RCA, after they demanded he release an 80s cover album.

THR reports; “The singer is walking away from his RCA contract after two full length albums, 2012’s Trespassing and 2009’s For Your Entertainment, along with several EPs and a live collection — all issued by the Sony Music label. ”

Lambert himself cites “creative differences” as the reason behind the split, and that he wants to work on new material at this time.

We’re sure he’ll land on his feet.
