Adam Lambert Rolls the Dice With "Roses" and New Las Vegas Residency

Disco legend Nile Rodgers brings an extra funky feel to Lambert's latest single.

Wake up and smell Adam Lambert's "Roses"—or should we say listen to?

Lambert has dropped a new single off of his upcoming album, Velvet, and he enlisted the help of disco legend Nile Rodgers to give the tune an extra funky feel.

The American Idol alum also announced his upcoming return to Las Vegas, with a new three-night Velvet Tour mini-residency April 22-25 at the Venetian Theatre. Tickets go on sale February 8.

The last time Lambert performed in Sin City was as the frontman for Queen, but the Venetian shows will mark his first Las Vegas solo headlining gig.

"He's created new fans on both sides," Live Nation’s Billy Conn, the Venetian promoter, told Billboard. "Look at all the tickets that Queen [has sold] and all the touring. You had a lot of Queen fans [who didn’t know who] Adam was, and vice versa. It should be very unique to see the two different age groups cross over to come see the show."

Billboard also reports that this limited engagement will be Lambert's only solo dates in the U.S. this year.

Lambert will later take his Velvet Tour across Europe starting August 30 at the Manchester Pride festival in the U.K. and concluding September 12 in Helsinki.

We're excited to hear Lambert's new songs live, but can he promise to perform his cover of Cher's "Believe" in Vegas?
