Adam Lambert is currently wrapping up the European leg of his tour with Queen but come fall, he'll be a new judge on the brand new season of The X Factor Australia.
The 34-year-old American Idol alum tweeted the news to his fans last night, confirming he would sit on the dais alongside singer Iggy Azalea and longtime X Factor judge and singer Guy Sebastian.
"Big news!!!" he wrote. "I am going to be a judge on [The X Factor Australia]!!!"
"I am very excited to join X Factor in Australia and am looking forward to helping people shine their brightest,” the singer said in a statement. "Australia has always been one of my favourite places to tour. The Aussies I’ve met are so kind and good humoured — so the thought of getting to live in Sydney is very exciting."
Brad Lyons, Channel Seven’s Director of Production, added: "Adam is truly a world class artist, performing on some of the biggest stages in the world. He knows first-hand how hard that first break can be. His experience and passion will be invaluable for our contestants."
Following his stint on The X Factor, Lambert will continue touring Asia will Queen, and appear as "Eddie" opposite Laverne Cox in Fox's adaptation of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
