NBC Signs Adam Rippon As Olympics Correspondent, Haters Get Butthurt About It

"Most people don't give a sh*t about him, wouldn't recognize him if they saw him in public."

Adam Rippon helped Team USA's figure skating earn a bronze in team skate, but he's been pure gold at Pyeongchang: In addition to garnering celebrity fans like Britney Spears and Reese Witherspoon, and cheesing off Vice President Mike Pence, the out skater has been invited to serve as a commentator for NBC Sports for the remainder of the Winter Games.

Fans love his cheeky sense of humor.

Rippon was the first out gay man to qualify for a Winter Olympics, and came tenth overall in men’s single skating. According to USA Today, the 28-year-old Pennsylvania native will appear on a variety of NBC platforms, including television, digital and social media.

Of course, the Twitter trolls are up in arms.

We're gonna guess they're not big figure-skating viewers to begin with.
