Adele and Madonna Team Up For Upcoming Albums
Madonna isn't exactly best known for crooning, soulful, heartbreaking ballads. Nor is Adele known for transgressive bubble-gum pop. Yet, somehow, this pairing might just work! It seems like the two will be swapping notes for upcoming songs to be featured on their next albums: "They have met in London and plan a writing session to produce a track for each other's new albums," says a Daily Mail source close to the Queen of Pop.
If the rumors are true, Madge's newest full-length LP probably won't be getting as much air-time in gay clubs as she is used to. Then again, if she is really working on a new "grown-up" album of ballads, Adele seems to be a smart recruit for #teammadge.
The upcoming team-up comes after Madonna's very public defense of the somber songstress. After nasty comments made by Karl Lagerfeld about Adele's weight, Madonna spoke up to The Sun: "That's horrible. That's ridiculous, that's just the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard... Adele's a great talent and how much she weighs has nothing to do with it."
Adele, however, has been less positive about Madonna's provocative body...of work: "Exploiting yourself sexually is not a good look. I don’t find it encouraging."
Will the two resolve their differences? Or will this turn into the diva battle of 2014? It looks like we'll have to wait a while to find out. But the real question is: What would it take to get Adele into a cone bra? We think she could really rock that whole 80's Gaultier look.
