Adele, Elton John, David Beckham Appearing In Spy Thriller, “The Secret Service”

Cementing her role as the new Dame Shirley Bassey, Adele has signed on for a cameo role in the new spy flick from X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn. The “Skyfall” singer will play a villainess in The Secret Service, which stars Michael Caine, Samuel L. Jackson and Colin Firth, with appearances by fellow gay icons David Beckham and Elton John.

The conceit for the movie, based on Mark Millar’s comic-book series of the same name, is that a young scrapper (Taron Egerton) is recruited into a posh British spy school to be turned into a James Bond-like smooth operator. Caine plays the head of Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
