Adele Got Ordained So She Could Marry Her Gay Best Friends In Her Backyard

The singer married comedian Alan Carr and his partner of 10 years, Paul Drayton.

Adele got ordained in order to marry her friends, comedian and TV host Alan Carr and his husband Paul Drayton, in her backyard in Los Angeles, it has been revealed.

"Seeing as the cats out the bag," she shared on Instagram, "I married two of my best friends in January. You know me any excuse to dress up." She tagged Carr in the post and added the hashtag "Love is Love."

Adele, dressed in all white, standing before a wall of roses, has an angelic look, as she holds her hands together in an almost prayer-like fashion.

Carr, who has been with Drayton for ten years, has recently gone public with the details of their enviable wedding day.

Carr appeared on BBC's The One Show on Tuesday, where he joked when asked how he ended up with Adele officiating his wedding that he "didn't win a competition, she is a friend."

Adele not only married the couple, she stepped in as the wedding planner, asking to be allowed to organize the entire day for her them, Carr explained.

"She organized everything," Carr said. "She's the...kindest, sweetest, most generous person ever."

"It was absolutely amazing. I could never repay her...She's just the best."

He told the hosts of This Morning it was the best day of his life.

In addition to the ceremony and festivities at her house, Adele flew Carr and Drayton to Las Vegas, where they saw Celine Dion perform.

Carr also said Adele sang during the couple's first dance, although he did keep the song she sang a secret, saying, "I can't tell you, it's private."
