It has been nearly five years since the goddess Adele released her masterpiece 21. And while it stayed with us for many years, the masses need something new, something from that voice.

During The X Factor tonight, the screen went dark, and the voice came to us. Just 30 seconds of perfect words, spelled out on the screen, but we didn't know that because we were blinded by THAT VOICE.

There was nothing on the screen that said her name, but there's no way to mistake that voice.

Some doubted that the goddess had returned to us, that we weren't worthy, being so preoccupied with who would win when Justin Bieber and One Direction release albums on the same day. But Adele knew that some of us had kept the faith, and needed her. And so we have new music, confirmed by One Republic, whose Ryan Tedder frequently collaborates with Adele, tweeting it.

We are not worthy of this gift of music, but we shall cherish it until you deliver unto us your new album
