NOW: Adele Throat Surgery A Success

Protect those pipes

Adele’s recent throat surgery was a success, according to a statement from the medical center in Boston where the singer underwent micro surgery to mend recurrent vocal cord bleeding from a benign polyp. Breathe easy fans across the world.

The chart-topping songstress canceled all of her remaining 2011 tour dates last month to allow recovery time.  Meanwhile the accolades continue to pour in for tracks off her sophomore album, 21, which has sold more than 4 million copies in the US and produced two Number 1 records. Adele won Best UK & Ireland act at this weekend’s MTV European Music Awards and is nominated for four American Music Awards, including artist of the year.

What’s more, the lovely Adele just picked up a few People’s Choice Award nominations earlier today.

Throat surgery or no, things aren’t slowing down for the diva.
