Adore Delano Is A "Negative Nancy" In First Video Off Upcoming Grunge Album

"Daddy called me Nancy Boy/ Never let me play with toys"

Adore Delano debuted the video for her new single, "Negative Nancy," this week, and revealed the new grunge sound she's been promising.

The track serves as the debut single off Adore's upcoming punk album, Whatever, and fans have instantly declared that the new sound fits the queen more than any music she's released since graduating from the sixth season of Drag Race.

The video finds Adore playing with gender while playing on a softball team, and celebrates the power of not conforming to society's rules.

“Everything that inspired me when I was a little angry kid and when I was younger, during the Bush administration, came out of me during this political climate," Delano told Yahoo about her new alt-rock sound. "I just wanted the kids to have something to be fun and dance around with and be angry about."

Whatever, which marks Adore's third studio album, is out on August 21, and "Negative Nancy" is available on iTunes now.
