  • Here's a great list of the 12 Sexiest Blanche Devereaux Quotes, each laid across a picture of the lovely Rue McClanahan. This is my favorite on the list, because who hasn't done it?
  • You know how fragile men's egos are ... Do the smallest thing such as scream out the wrong name and they go to pieces.

  • John Waters continues his press tour for his new book, Role Models. You never know what's going to come out of everyone's favorite dirty uncle's mouth. NPR probably needed some fresh Fresh Air after talking to John. I do think his thoughts on gay marriage reflect a certain generational shift.
  • I understand wanting gay marriage. I would never vote for somebody who was against gay marriage. [But] I purposefully have no desire to imitate a rather corny tradition of heterosexuals to me. I would owe three alimonies. I basically think that it's more fun to go against the rules ... to make up your own rules. Sexual confusion is fun. 'Heteroflexibility' is something that really makes me laugh, that term. And kids today are like that; you don't have to be gay or straight. They don't care, really. And I like that. I think it's funny and more liberating in a way. It's sexual anarchy, which is exciting.

  • I would hate to be someone like GLAAD's Jarrett Barrios, who has every word and comma scrutinized - oh, wait, I do. But at at least I don't have the sum of the gay press attacking me for an awkwardly worded sentence about the impact of Chely Wright coming out. I seriously doubt he meant to diss Ellen DeGeneres.

  • Last night on the Colbert Report, Vampire Weekend appeared, but before they were allowed to sing, they had to defend their dismissal of the "Oxford comma" against Stephen.

  • The boys did finally perform, and while I do love the style that out rocker Rostam Batmanglij pulls off, I have to admit I can't take my eyes off of singer Ezra Koenig, who is just so darn pretty.

  • Please tell me that the costume for Hawkeye in The Avengers consists of just a tiny pair of black boxer briefs, like Jeremy Renner used to rock in The Unusuals. After all the recent disappointments in costumes for heroes, I deserve this one.

  • Nobody is quite sure what the 18 episode order for Brothers & Sisters means, not even Rachel Griffiths (Sarah). But there is speculation that it means the upcoming Season 5 is the end. For Griffiths, the shorter season means more time at home in New York or Australia, and probably fewer wine-fueled Walker family gatherings.

  • Glee's new Christian character is going to speak her mind and be respected, says Ryan Murphy. She won't approve of Kurt's homosexuality and will says so. He says that her addition is to balance the jabs they've taken at the right this year. Yeah, like the right never gets heard in their homophobia. He also says Rachel's dads won't likely appear this year either.

  • This behind-the-scenes shot from the filming of the Smurfs movie in New York City couldn't be gayer if it tried. You've got Gargamel (who the New Yorkers don't find odd to see on the streets), bumping into Modern Family's Sofia Vergara, then into Neil Patrick Harris, and finally Tim Gunn approaches from behind carrying his cat Azrael.

  • A 16-year-old student who spoke up to defend another student from endless taunting about his perceived sexual orientation, was badly beaten last November at Mount Si High School in Washington state. The assault broke the student's eye socket, two teeth and left him with a concussion. The full investigation has raised more questions than it answered and some parents are not happy. Nor should they be..

  • Zachary Quinto has found his post-Heroes, non-Spock role, and it's playing Louis Ironson in the revival of Angels In America opposite Billy Porter.

  • AfterElton.com reader Ron sent us this link from the set of Jake Silbermann's film Stuffer. From all the pictures, they've dirtied our Noah up considerably.
  • Luke would never let you jump on his bed without a shower.

  • Paul Iocono plays the title role in MTV's questionable The Hard Times of RJ Berger. The 21-year-old New Yorker isn't giving up details of whether he's uniquely qualified for the role, like Thomas Jane recently did for his character on Hung.  He prefers some mystery:
  • I'm coming up with a line of T-shirts to make with slogans, like, "Find out for yourself!" or "Could be, who knows?"

  • Egypt has blocked certification of the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission as an official Non-Governmental Organization by the United Nations. This proves the rules of the U.N. as just as screwed up as the U.S. Senate.

  • A Massachusetts married gay couple has won a year's asylum for the foreign born spouse since DOMA doesn't allow the federal government to recognize him citizenship. All it took was the intervention of Senator John Kerry, Attorney General Eric Holder and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to make it happen. Simple.

  • I know when I see the whole movie, I'm going to regret saying this, but Gulliver's Travels doesn't look half bad. Granted, I've never managed to finish a Jack Black movie, but they seem to have a valid premise for this modern retelling of the tale.
