AfterElton Briefs: The “Teen Wolf” Twins, Five-Hour Gay, and Chris Colfer Is a Maverick

  • Birthday shoutouts go to Ryan Kwanten (above), who is 36, Ed Harris is 62, and Sharon Needles is 31
  • Chris Colfer talks to TV Line about what to expect with Klaine.
  • Former ’Smash’ boss speaks out on departure. “One of the points of contention last year was that the network thinks they have the right to say to the writer of the show, ‘We don’t want her to do this. We want her to do this’…And I would sometimes say back to them, ‘She would never do that.’ And they’d look at me like I was crazy, and I’d be like, ‘Nope, it’s not crazy, it’s just who the character is.’ You have to respect who the character is.”
  • Ben Affleck has been named Entertainment Weekly’s Entertainer Of The Year.

  • Teen Wolf has found its twins, and they are Charlie and Max Carver from Desperate Housewives.

  • The complete Official snicks Top 100 Lost Hits of The 80’s was posted earlier today, but our journey isn’t over! Every Wednesday I’ll post a new lost hit to satisfy your 80’s music needs. This week it’s …. “Modern Day Delilah” from Van Stephenson. The late Van hit #22 in July 1984 with this cautionary tale. And I have to say that this one of my favorite music videos of the decade. It has everything you could want in an 80’s video – sexy girls in lingerie blowing bubbles, neon, pissed off bald men, and big hair. Lots and lots of big hair.

  • Continuing the 50 Greatest 80’s TV Theme Songs/Openings!, Here’s #49, Valerie.
  • Valerie aired on NBC from March 1, 1986 to July 20, 1991, and starred the faboo Valerie Harper, making a successful return to sitcoms. Well … for a while. She played mother to three teen boys (including Jason Bateman), and wife to that guy from Days Of Our Lives. Well, for a while. Sadly, right before the third season, “Valerie” died in a horrific car accident, and “Aunt Sandy” came to take her place. But it’s okay .. “Valerie” went to heaven and is sharing a cloud with “Chrissy Snow.” Below you can see the opening, with “Together Through The Years” performed by Roberta Flack Rumor has it that Cannibal Corpse often performs the song in concert. I can see it.

  • Congrats to
