Alaska Newspaper Publishes Headline About Priest Blessing "Glory Hole"

The Juneau Empire recently ran a story with a headline about a "Glory Hole Rededication." Either the Empire copyeditors don't know the word's slang meaning, or someone was having a bit of fun.

It turns out that Juneau's version of the Glory Hole is actually Christian homeless shelter: A pipe leak in late November left the building in disrepair, but it was reopened and rededicated on February 25 with the help of executive director Mariya Lovischuk and Father Gordon Blue, seen reconsecrating the space in the photo above.

A reader sent word of the hilarious headline to Jim Romenesko and the rest is history.

Get it, Father Blue!
