Alicia Keys' new song "New Day" should really be distributed through Obamacare because it is guaranteed to make you feel better.

I mean, seriously... if this song doesn't blow up like a nuclear bomb this summer, then America has lost its way.

Lyrically, the song is pretty boilerplate... yet another declaration about seizing the day and living for yourself and doing your thing. But old ideas feel new when they're wrapped in production this awesome. Working with her husband Swizz Beatz, Keys howls and growls over reggae-ish beats and those marching-band drums that Swizz uses so well.

And that tempo? It makes me want to start running right damn now. And that's what I want in a dance anthem. Make me move! Force me to shake it faster, faster, faster!

Like I said... "New Day" had better be a huge hit, or I will be PISSED. I'm still mad that Keys' brilliant song "Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart" wasn't a bigger hit in America, so we've got to do better this time.

So go out and get the party started like A. Keys wants you to! I promise the fun will melt your brain.
