Leave it to Ryan Murphy to do something completely unexpected.
Ryan recently explained season two of American Horror Story will be “radically different” with a “new overriding theme.” While that’s not exactly headline-making news, Murphy did reveal he is replacing a few of the actors and ALL of the characters. “There will be familiar faces and some new faces,” said the co-creator. “People that are coming back will be playing completely new characters.” Hmm, well this is better than the tried and true stunt of replacing the actor with the same character. Vivian Banks anyone?
Unfortunately, Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott are not coming back as series regulars. We won’t know who makes the cut until February.
In the meantime, if you are missing the show as much as we are, look to the last three episodes to figure out what is coming up next. Ryan teased, “The second season of the show will [feature] a brand new home or building to haunt. […] There’s a clue in the last three episodes where we say what the second season will be.”
