Andrew Rannells' Elijah is one of the best things about Girls. Hannah's gay ex tosses off sassy one-liners like a pro and is actually supportive of his friends. (Well, half the time.)

While we eagerly await the January 11 premiere of Season Four—with hopefully more of Rannells' hilarity—a deleted scene from Season Three has emerged that will get your panties in a twist.

In it, Elijah joins Hannah for a shopping excursion at a somewhat unsavory establishment, where they discuss Hannah's experience in the Iowa Writing MFA program and encounter the least private changing room in existence.

It's a funny scene—one we wish hadn't been deleted—and it certainly shows off Elijah's unique brand of crass, smarmy humor.

Bonus points: It also shows off how good he looks in a pair of briefs.

Girls premieres January 11 on HBO.
