Andy Cohen is the latest celebrity to test positive for COVID-19.

The 51-year-old Watch What Happens Live host announced the news Friday on his Instagram page.

"After a few days of self-quarantine, and not feeling great, I have tested positive for Coronavirus," Cohen wrote. "As much as I felt like I could push through whatever I was feeling to do #WWHL from home, we’re putting a pin in that for now so I can focus on getting better. I want to thank all the medical professionals who are working tirelessly for all of us, and urge everybody to stay home and take care of themselves."

Bravo had announced only a few hours earlier that the 17th season of Watch What Happens Live, which suspended production earlier this month, would return Sunday, shot remotely from Cohen's New York City apartment with interviews via video chat.

“Just when we thought our show couldn’t get any more low-tech, we’re all homebound," Cohen said in a statement. "I’m not sure how this will play out, but I know it’ll be fun." He had already been recording his SiriusXM radio show from home.

Cohen was honored last year at the 30th annual GLAAD Media Awards with the Vito Russo Award, presented to an LGBTQ media professional who has made a significant difference in accelerating LGBTQ acceptance. He also welcomed his first child via a surrogate.

Experts have warned that the novel coronavirus could have uniquely devastating impacts on queer communities.

Other celebrities battling COVID-19 include Daniel Dae Kim, Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Idris Elba, Kevin Durant, Kristofer Hivju, and Colton Underwood.

With rising cases of COVID-19 in New York City accounting for a third of all cases in the U.S., Mayor Bill de Blasio has called the city "the epicenter of this crisis."
