Andy Cohen revealed he’s been thinking about fatherhood and said he’s now “closer than ever” to having a child.
The 48-year-old Bravo producer and Real Housewives mogul sat down to discuss his new memoir, Superficial: More Adventures from the Andy Cohen Diaries, with Matt Lauer on the Today show.
At the top of the segment, Lauer read a passage from the book where Andy says, “I know there’s something deeper for me and my future. I need there to be.”
Asked for clarification about what that thing might be, Andy said: “I think it’s opening myself up to love and a relationship and maybe a kid, I think I’m closer to that spot than I ever was.”
Andy, who’s been dating a 28-year-old law student (below) for almost a year, also said he doesn’t feel that fatherhood requires being in a steady relationship.
“I feel like I can just do it,” he said.
Superficial is Andy’s third book, part of a series of diary-style books that chronicle his life and encounters with celebrities.
Last month, Andy revealed the book is chock full of jaw-dropping stories including one about his threesome with a mechanic and his wife, his interesting encounter with a “bizarre” Lindsay Lohan, and his feelings about New Jersey housewife Teresa Giudice and her prison sentence. It’s available now wherever books are sold.
