“Pose” Star Angelica Ross Slays “American Horror Story: 1984” Teaser

Ryan Murphy has revealed the cast for his FX horror anthology's ninth season.

Can Angelica Ross survive her new gig?

Pose spoiler alert! Ross played Pose fan fave Candy Abundance Ferocity, who was murdered in the latest episode of the FX drama. Cry for Candy but shed no tears for Miss Ross: It was announced Wednesday on social media that she'd already booked another Ryan Murphy show, American Horror Story.

"I am ELATED to make history as the first trans actor to secure 2 series regular roles," Ross wrote, thanking Murphy for both opportunities. Murphy added that Ross will play "another unforgettable role" in the upcoming ninth season of his FX horror anthology series, American Horror Story: 1984, which appears to be inspired by classic 1980s slasher films and set at a summer camp like Friday the 13th.

Murphy has now shared on Instagram the official cast announcement and first "camera test" footage from AHS: 1984 to "celebrate the first day of filming."

Set to Dan Hartman’s 1984 hit “I Can Dream About You,” the throwback teaser features AHS regulars Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Cody Fern, and Leslie Grossman, as well as franchise newbies Ross, DeRon Horton, Zach Villa, Glee's Matthew Morrison, and newly single Olympic freeskier Gus Kenworthy.

Kenworthy, a thirst-trapping activist, looks scary-hot working an '80s crop top, but be sure to clock Morrison's menacing bulge in his tiny shorts!

The official cast announcement follows news that AHS veterans Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters would not be returning this season. Billy Eichner, who had major roles in the last two seasons, is also sitting 1984 out.

AHS: 1984 premieres September 18 on FX.
