Anne Hathaway Set To Star In "Princess Diaries 3"

"We have to wait until [Anne] has the baby and then I think we're going to do it," says director Garry Marshall.

Pack your bags for Genovia, because Anne Hathaway is set to star in a third Princess Diaries movie.

According to director Gary Marshall, who helmed the first two films, the Oscar-winning actress is on board for the sequel.

"I was with Anne Hathaway a couple of weeks ago," he told People. "Anne Hathaway is very pregnant, so we have to wait until she has the baby and then I think we're going to do it."

Marshall's statement counters reports from several months ago claiming a third Princess movie was not going to happen.

The last time we saw Hathaway's goofy princess Mia Thermopolis was 2004's The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement: She had just been crowned Queen of Genovia after declaring her love for the handsome Nicholas (Star Trek's Chris Pine) and watched her grandmother Queen Clarisse (Julie Andrews) abdicate and get married.

Pine has been vocal about revisiting the role and Marshall seems open to the idea. "He's quite big now you know," said the legendary director.

Can we assume we'll hear the pitter-patter of little royal feet in the third installment?
