"Girls & Boys" is based on the "Queer Eye" foodie's dating experiences.

Antoni Porowski, resident food expert on Netflix’s Emmy-winning Queer Eye reboot, has reportedly inspired Girls & Boys, a feature film loosely based on his experiences dating both men and women.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Porowski developed the story for Netflix with Black-ish creator and Girls Trip co-writer Kenya Barris. Andrew Rhymer and Jeff Chan, the team behind Hulu's Plus One, will write the screenplay.

Porowski, 36, who is definitely not dating Queer Eye co-star Jonathan Van Ness, has previously described his sexuality as "fluid."

“I’m still trying to define what that means for me,” the Antoni in the Kitchen author told the Associated Press last year. “I think I did certainly have a bit of shame being fluid when I was growing up because I didn’t know too many people who I could relate to.”

“I don’t really know and I kind of like not knowing,” Porowski told GQ about his sexuality, noting that he has been in more relationships with women than men. “I feel like if I do refer to myself as gay, which would make it easier for people to understand sometimes, I feel like it dishonors women that I've been in love with."

Season 5 of Queer Eye is set to premiere this summer on Netflix. The sixth season was shooting in Texas before coronavirus shutdowns.
