Pop legends Christina Aguilera and Ariana Grande joined forces on stage at the live season finale of The Voice last night, gracefully trying to out-diva each other while powering through a performance of Ariana's "Dangerous Woman."

Ariana kicked things off solo with her new summer anthem "Into You," strutting across the stage and nailing the occasional dance break alongside her gaggle of male dancers.

The ladies donned black and white power suits with matching chokers (chokers!!) and battled each other with a good 40-second ad lib toward the end of the performance, which replaced Christina's previously-taped and ridiculous-looking duet with a hologram of Whitney Houston.

The pop stars, who are noted fans of each other, expressed their excitement on Twitter:

Aside from her jaw-dropping performance with Ariana, Christina also made history last night by becoming The Voice's first female coach winner.

"It’s been a boys club since season one and I’m not one that hides my feelings or my opinions," she told Us Weekly after the show. "But I just have to say what it really proves to me this season by her taking that stage as a hardworking mom, with this gorgeous voice, because there are double standards out there and sometimes it’s not all fair, but tonight is a true victory for women and women that work hard and women that are mothers."
