Hardest Working Woman in Pop Drops New Music Vid, Album Full of Bangers

Did you catch the gay twist at the end of the video?!

“7 Rings” queen Ariana Grande is grinding hard as ever: This Friday, February 8, she dropped Thank U, Next, her second full-length studio album in less than a year.

Thank U, Next includes a handful of hit singles fans have come to know and love, including “7 Rings,” “Imagine,” and of course, Ari’s iconic post-Pete Davidson breakup bop “Thank U, Next.” (Drag Race queen Shangela even appears at the start of one track, “NASA”!)

The release also comes about six months after Grande dropped Sweetner, her fourth studio album, which won her a nod for Best Vocal Pop Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards.

Is a new Ari album full of bangers not enough to quench your thirst? Fret not: Grande also released a new music video for “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored,” securing her status as both the Hardest Working Woman in Pop™️ and an emotional AF icon for fellow Cancers everywhere. Truly iconic.

Oh, did we mention there’s a hella gay twist at the end? Watch and see for yourself. We’re still thinking about what this one means (could the look-alike “girlfriend” in question be the elusive “Aubrey”? Or is it a super sapphic way of Grande saying she loves herself?)

Grande won’t be performing at or attending the Grammys, which air this Sunday, February 10, but that’s another story in and of itself. And besides, if she’s got enough clout in the music industry to comfortably turn down a Grammys performance, what can’t Billboard’s 2018 Woman of the Year do?

Listen to Thank U, Next on Spotify, Apple Music, or your streaming service of choice, and let us know your favorite tracks below.

I’m partial to “Needy,” while NewNowNext’s A&E Editor, Lamar, is firmly team “7 Rings.” To which I say…
