In case you missed the 2004 NYC run of the gay coming of age rock opera, Bare, or have missed the many subsequent productions that have been staged – literally – around the world, then you’re in luck. A new version of the show recently opened Off Broadway at New World Stages. And we have heard from some industry insiders that it has been reworked a bit for our viewing pleasure. How kind!

Check out the opening night video with cast interviews, audience testimonials and clips from what looks like a kick ass show! Those two dreamboats making out was enough to sell us, but based on the interviews it sounds like this piece surpasses gay kissy face time and dives much deeper into issues of faith, identity, bullying and love.

Yep, sounds like high school in a nutshell.
