After years of creating onscreen romances in his BearCity trilogy, director Doug Langway brought the magic to his own life with a masterful proposal to his longtime, long-distance lover.

Langway's Australian boyfriend, Joseph Chapman, lives over 10,000 miles away, so the filmmaker had to get creative when it came time to pop the question.

Using an iPad to Facetime with Chapman in the middle of Times Square, Langway panned up to reveal a giant billboard with their faces that read, "Will you marry me?"

The happy moment was captured on camera and witnessed by a small crowd that gathered to see Chapman say "yes," and you can watch it all go down below.
