Lyons details his experience coming out (to his family and himself), booking some of his first gigs with little to no experience, and singing every night at the very top of his range in the latest installment of Logo's digital "Chorus Boys" series.

After performing professionally for nine years, Lyons is looking to launch a career as a musical theater composer and is currently working on several projects with his writing partner, Ethan Pakchar, including a full-length show called Five Points that chronicles the creation of tap dance that will have a workshop in NYC this fall.

Below, hear Lyons talk about his love for Broadway and how the theater helped shape his sexuality. "There's been initial shock, there's been hope, there's been realism, and then there's been acceptance. Underneath it all has been love and that's all that really matters," he says.
