Benedict Cumberbatch Breaks The Code In "The Imitation Game" Trailer

If you're into moody historical espionage and dreary-but-time-appropriate color schemes, The Imitation Game is the film for you.  Starring the ultimate British charmer Benedict Cumberbatch as Alan Turing, the upcoming Morten Tyldum directed movie explores the drama and psychology behind an important and controversial historical figure.

What you might not know (and what the Weinstein Company dropped discreetly in the trailer) is that in real life, despite being widely considered one of the greatest factors in the defeat of the Nazis, Alan Turing was persecuted for his homosexuality.  Only recently was he posthumously pardoned for his "crimes". How much of this sordid sub-plot will appear in the film remains to be seen.

Then again, its hard to be too mad at the potential historical erasures when faced with Cumberbatch's mesmerizing baby blues.

The Imitation Game will debut in the US on November 12th.  Check out the trailer, below!
