Sink Your Teeth Into Benito Skinner's "Call Me by Your Name" Parody

"Elio, I found this by your bed table. It's this juicy peach!"

Not the peach!

Actor-comedian Benito Skinner has done it yet again with his parody of the forthcoming sequel to Call Me by Your Name, Luca Guadagnino's critically acclaimed gay romance based on André Aciman’s 2007 novel of the same name.

The Oscar-nominated 2017 film, which starred Timothée Chalamet as the precocious 17-year-old Elio and Armie Hammer as Oliver, his older love interest, has a follow-up in the works as of this April. (Production is on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, of course.)

Skinner wasted no time serving us his best Elio and Oliver, parodying the characters' affects in a mock-up of the sequel's trailer. His take on CMBYN 2 sees Elio maintain that boyish charm—and Oliver continue their tryst, even as his wife (played by Skinner, playing Dakota Johnson) catches on.

"You guys got a lil' bromance going on here, don't ya?" the wife says, to which a visibly nervous Oliver replies, "Ha ha, something like that!"

One memorable moment of fan service comes when Oliver's wife takes a bite of a very "juicy peach" she found on...Elio's bedside table.
