Bernie Sanders' New Ad Calls Upon The LGBT Community: "We Will Transform America"

"That is what this campaign is about: is bringing people together."

Bernie Sanders demands inclusiveness and urges American voters to "vote together" for progressive change in a brand new campaign ad that invokes people from all walks of life, including the LGBT community.

"Our job is not to divide. Our job is to bring people together," the Vermont senator, fresh off a major win at last week's New Hampshire primary, announces at the beginning of the 60-second spot.

"If we do not allow them to divide us up by race, by sexual orientation, by gender — by not allowing them to divide us up by whether or not we were born in America, or whether we’re immigrants."

Sanders' words echo over a collage of diverse faces being stitched together.

"When we stand together, as white and black and Hispanic and gay and straight and woman and man — when we stand together and demand that this country works for all of us, rather than the few, we will transform America."

"And that is what this campaign is about: is bringing people together."

Unlike all of the GOP candidates, Bernie Sanders (and Hillary Clinton for that matter) considers LGBT equality a part of his platform.

On his website, Sanders lists the ways which he'd fight for LGBT equality if elected president.

Among them, he promises to sign the Equality Act and any other bill that prohibits discrimination against LGBT people into law, provide comprehensive health insurance for LGBT people without discrimination or mistreatment, and veto any "religious freedom" legislation that comes his way.
