Kristen Stewart gets a lot of gruff for starring in the Twilight films which are, we must admit, awful, but the 21-year-old has had her share of pretty great films. So in honor of the release of Snow White and the Huntsman today, let’s take a look back at Kristen’s five best flicks.
The Safety of Objects
This little seen film marked Kristen‘s debut and has an amazing cast including Glenn Close, Patricia Clarkson and Mary Kay Place to name just a few. Kristen is Clarkson’s daughter who is kidnapped by Timothy Olyphant, an odd man who seems to just be looking for a friend.
Panic Room
Kristen Stewart starred in this David Fincher film as a girl held captive in her NYC townhouse with mom Jodie Foster as a gang of hoodlums, including a cornrowed Jared Leto, ransack the place looking for the women. Luckily the two women have a panic room to hide out in, and then start to fight back. Very empowering stuff.
What Just Happened
Another film with an amazing cast, including Robert De Niro, Catherine Keener, Sean Penn and Robin Wright. Stewart once again plays a petulant child, this time to De Niro’s Hollywood producer, kind of her speciality back in the day.
Adventureland
Kristen proved she can do funny and sexy in this film, seducing Jesse Eisenberg and Ryan Reynolds. We also get to see her play off the hilarious Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig.
Into The Wild
Directed by Sean Penn, this may be Kristen’s best movie to date. She has a small role as the daughter of Catherine Keener who has a brief romance with the lead character played by Emile Hirsch.
