Lady Gaga's Met Gala Arrival Is the Level of Extra We Should All Aspire To

Camp was the theme for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s 2019 Costume Institute Benefit—AKA the Met Gala—and the celebs camped it up on the event's flamingo pink carpet.

Billy Porter was carried in like King Tut, Ezra Miller served a face full of eyes, and Katy Perry wasn't Behind the Candelabra, she was the candelabra. We were clutching our campy pearls throughout the stars' arrivals—but it was Lady Gaga's pink carpet show that truly left us speechless.

Mother Monster arrived in a giant flowing pink gown, only to unveil three outfits underneath, complete with a wagon full of hot pink accessories for her to wheel around. Gaga was a co-chair of this year's Met Gala, and she proved why she should be crowned the new queen of camp.
