The 93-year-old icon–who won her first Daytime Emmy back in 1952–has clocked over sixty years in the entertainment industry, from her days on Life With Elizabeth and The Mary Tyler Moore Show to Golden Girls, and most recently, Hot In Cleveland.

Bob Mauro, president of the NATAS praised Betty as transcending the art form of acting:

Betty White is an American institution. Betty's career as a female pioneer has followed television from literally the beginning of the medium, winning her first Emmy Award in 1952, to the digital-streaming future, winning again in 2010.

She is one of the most beloved female performers in the history of television.

Tell us what we don't know, Bob.

Betty should just get every Daytime Emmy. And Primetime Emmy. Hell, give her an Oscar while we're at it.

Betty, we expect you to still be kicking it by the time we're all in our 90s, so this Lifetime Achievement Award should just be something tide you over until then.
