Big Freedia “Beyond Honored” To Appear On Beyoncé’s “Formation”

She came to slay, bitch.

Beyoncé upstaged her own Super Bowl appearance by dropping her new single, “Formation,” the day before. But there’s a familiar voice on the track: the Queen of Bounce, Big Freedia.

Not surprisingly Freedia says working with Bey was “one of the most amazing experiences of my life.”

“It was a total shocker when I got a call from Beyonce’s publicist and she said Beyoncé wanted me to get on this track,” she tells Fuse.

When I heard the track and the concept behind it, which was Beyoncé paying homage to her [Louisiana] roots, I was even more excited!”

Freedia added she was “beyond honored to work with the original Queen B [and] I think it turned out amazing, too!”

Seeing how the song’s rocketed to the top of the charts, we’d have have to agree.

Listen to “Formation” below. (Freedia jumps in at about the 1:10 mark.)
