Bianca del Rio, Jinkx Monsoon, John Waters, Roasting Michael Musto For A Good Cause

"I'm shitting bricks," the legendary nightlife scribe confesses.

Michael Musto has built a career out of making famous people feel at ease. But, on May 22, some of those celebrities will turn on him at an all-star roast benefiting New York's Callen-Lorde Community Health Center.

Sponsored by Scruff, Broadway Roasts Michael Musto sees the legendary nightlife chronicler skewered by drag divas Bianca del Rio, Jinkx Monsoon, and Crystal Demure, plus Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, Mindy Cohn, Randy Rainbow, Michael Urie, and Avenue Q's Lucy the Slut. (Yes, even puppets want to rag on Michael Musto.)

There's also video "tributes" from Jackie Hoffman, John Waters, Cheyenne Jackson and Alan Cumming, plus Bruce Vilanch serving as emcee.

"I'm shitting bricks," Musto tells NewNowNext. "I've lined up some of the funniest people in the biz to tear me to shreds, and now I have to face the fact that this will actually happen. I guess I'll just sit there and pretend they're talking about someone else."

Pressed for a good zinger about himself, Musto shared one Courtney Act used at Bianca Del Rio's roast: "It used to be cute to see Michael Musto riding around on his bike all over town. But now he's so old that now it comes off like assisted suicide."
