Bicyclist Gives Anti-Gay Street Preacher What For, Gets Round Of Applause

"I'm gay, so say it to me."

A bigoted street preacher drew a crowd as he shouted anti-LGBT "warnings" in Glasgow, Scotland on Saturday, but it was a passing cyclist that actually had the crowd cheering and applauding.

Writer Emlyn Pearce started to record the Christian preacher's rant about the "immorality" of sexual sins, and managed to capture the moment when a passing cyclist stopped to fight back.

When the preacher began shouting that gay people are going to hell, the cyclist stopped and said, "I'm gay! I'm gay, so say it to me."

The preacher told the man that he needs to repent and find God's love if he wants to avoid an eternity of damnation, but the cyclist wasn't having it.

"I love me," he shouted back to the preacher. "I don't need a god to do it."

With that, the man rode away as the crowd began to cheer and applaud him for his response.

Pearce shared the video on Facebook, writing, "If anyone knows this chap, please tell him to get in touch because a fair few people would like to buy him a drink.”

Check out his footage of the confrontation below.
